Why do you think eating healthy is so important?

Eating healthy is important because we believe in the power of prevention. Changing your eats now will help you live a longer, healthier, and happier life. Eating healthy is fun! We love it. We love all the choices we get and love creating new ways to enjoy food through recipe development.  We have been on a journey to heal our gut and other health issues, and we believe in the power in food! Food can be healing; it is about finding what foods work for you at this moment. It is not about what diet are you on, but more about learning to listen to your body!

Which foods are constantly on your shopping list?

Foods that we always buy - coconut oil, bananas, kale, local or organic eggs, fish (we tend to buy frozen wild fish), romaine, spinach (really all dark leafy greens), plantains, white rice, ghee, sardines, cabbage, carrots, zucchini, parsnips, turnips, lemons, ginger, and chia seeds.  Our eats are always changing, but these are pretty standard food items we get weekly.

What are your go-to snacks? Do you have any healthy snack recipes?

Here are some of our favorite snacks:

avocado plantain pudding, well love all types of puddings
chia seed puddings

banana with tahini and cacao nibs

egg muffin cakes (we have a few different recipes)

protein thin mints

What are a few examples of healthy recipes you make? Which ones are your favorites?

Most of our meals have a good bit of healthy fat in them with a nice balance of protein and carbs. Here are some of our favorite recipes:  We share daily what we eat here for those looking for more ideas.

When you want to splurge, what are your favorite foods to eat? 

We LOVE desserts!! We love baked goods, raw desserts, you name it! We are always creating new recipes!

kombucha soft served ice cream (raw) haha I think we will stop there because we could keep going!

We also are very proud of our first cookbook! It is some of our top favorite recipes - everything is free of gluten, dairy, eggs, soy, corn, and many low sugar recipes!

We are 30-year-old twin sisters, bloggers, FitFluential Ambassadors, multi-passionate entrepreneurs, authors, chefs, bakers, fitness gurus, personal trainers, and share weekly at home workouts that anyone can do. Michelle also works for Raw Threads an athletic clothing company (family owned) and Lori has a puppy Vizsla and is happily married hoping to start a family.
